Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago

What kind of toys can I donate?

Stuffed Animals & Soft-Surface Toys

For the safety and health of the patients, the hospital follows strict donation guidelines. If you’re thinking of donating a stuffed animal or a ‘soft-surface’ toy, please keep in mind that: 1) The stuffed animal must be recently purchased and unwrapped, and 2) the hospital cannot accept soft toys that have been in someone’s possession, even if they’ve never be used or played with.

*Please note: these toys must be placed in plastic bags immediately after purchase. Please do not remove them from those bags once you put them in, as it helps to keep the toys clean and prevents the transfer of allergens that may be harmful to the patients. Thank you for your help with this! *
