There are two ways to give offerings in church. You can use an offering envelope. This allows you to specify how you want your offerings to be used and allows the church to provide you with a tax receipt. Or you can place the money into the offering plate/bag/box at the church. This offering is called "loose offering" and is not designated as tithe. It is allocated to the local church budget, except on certain Sabbaths, when the loose offering is directed to special Illinois Conference or World Church purposes.
