Lay Ministry Training

Local church training is an essential component to growth and evangelism. Ephesians 4:16 -17 is a beautiful picture of God’s desire for His church. With Jesus as our head – “from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective work by which every part does its share…edifying itself in love.”

The Illinois Conference remains committed not only to the continuing education and training of its Pastors but providing support and training to lay members (ministers). Ellen White stressed that we “hunger and thirst for the gifts of the Spirit” and that we “offer our petitions to God” to pray for, study about, and explore our gifts (Acts of Apostles p. 50). We look forward to partnering with local Churches and helping members capture the joy of service.
